Hey, I'm JW — the JDub behind JDUB-Woodworks. I'm a born-and-raised Texan living in central Texas just outside Austin, and I've spent more years than I can count turning raw wood into something worth keeping.

Where It All Started

My passion for woodworking grew out of a deep love for natural materials — especially driftwood. There's something about a piece of driftwood that already has a story. The grain, the texture, the way water and time have shaped it — I just help it become something more. Whether it's a wall piece, a sculpture, or a functional build, every project starts with respect for the material.

What I Make

JDUB-Woodworks is where driftwood art, hand carving, and traditional woodworking come together. I create one-of-a-kind pieces and share the process along the way — step-by-step builds, tool tests, finishing techniques, and honest tutorials for woodworkers at every level.

I'm also proud to be part of the Texas woodworking community, including connections to the Texas Woodworking Festival and the craftspeople who keep this tradition alive.
